The Latest Offerings.....

So for this "round" of pieces....and yes, I am working on them in batches at this point....so much more time conscious! And I feel like I have really accomplished something at the end of the week! But, anyway...for this round I did something else different, well, more like the same...I used the same background papers and paint on three different sized canvases and worked on them all at the same time. The challenge then became to see how they would be different. I also worked on 2 others with radically different backgrounds, both from the green 3 and from each other, so 5 at a time. Finished these last week, and have some others in the works, but have been working like crazy on some new baby art girls for the show! So cute, but my hand may never be the same from gripping an exacto for hours on end.

But, anyway...in no particular order, here they are....First, "True Love"....(11 x 14)

This one is "Oh, Baby"...(8 x 10)

"Love" is 4 x 6.
"Have Faith" is also 11 x 14.

"Family, Nature's Masterpiece" is square...12 x 12.

Just a little sample of the baby art girls. I didn't have very many of these so I decided to have copies made of them and then I could make more than one. Also, so much easier to work in series like this. May have to start doing that with the "big" girls.
These are a little time-out I took for myself...tiny little 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" canvases. My take on the ones Karen O'Brian offered for sale at Artfest last year. Hers were on wooden blocks and much more moody and dark than these, but this is the general idea....Amyfied! I would still like to coat them with the diamond glaze, if I could find it, and if it would work on canvas at all I have no idea. All in all, though, fun to do and very fulfilling....lots of little pieces in a short amount of time....and much more painting, well, dripping really, but I am craving the feel of the paint on the brush...maybe once the craziness of the show is over I can play in the paint a little more. But until then, I'm off to proof some flyers, try again to contact the photographer, sweep and mop the kitchen, and maybe even go tear some paper into little tiny strips....is it bedtime yet??

Wow, you've been working like a maniac! Have Faith is my favourite. The colours sing. Beautiful!

You've been busy--I really enjoyed looking at all the materials you used. The textures of these pieces are just gorgeous.
